$0.00
Description
When?: Wednesday, June 21st from 1-2 PM Eastern time
What?: SB 1013 was approved by California’s Governor Gavin Newsom on September 27, 2022. SB1013 expands the definition of “beverage” in the California Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act to include wine and distilled spirits. Starting January 1, 2024, anyone who produces or sends beverage containers into the state of California will need to comply with new standards. Beverage containers covered under the Act are subject to California Redemption Value (CRV), which is 5 cents for containers less than 24 ounces, 10 cents for containers 24 ounces or larger, including wine and distilled spirits.
The presentation will provide information on how this change will impact beverage manufacturers and distributors of wine and distilled spirt beverages. Information will include the new beverage categories and beverage container materials, an overview of California Redemption Value (CRV) and processing fees, CA CRV labeling requirements and how to register with the Department.
How Much?: Complimentary to ACSA members and non-members alike.
Who is presenting?: Stacie Carder, CalRecycle’s Registration Unit Supervisor, has been with CalRecycle for 16 years. During that time, she has worked exclusively with Beverage Manufacturers and Distributors including registration, labeling compliance, account maintenance and training of report and payment obligations.
Who is this for?: Distilleries and distributors that produce in or distribute to the state of California
