Crafting the Future of Bourbon With American Oak Expertise.

Kelvin Cooperage has been family run since it was founded in 1963 by the McLaughlins, on the banks of the River Kelvin in Glasgow, Scotland. Kelvin has served the major distilleries in Scotland, Ireland and worldwide continuously since its formation. In 1991, Kelvin relocated to Louisville, Kentucky in order to take advantage of Louisville’s proximity to Bourbon Country and to the supply of the finest American oak for barrel production.

As part of its ongoing growth strategy, Kelvin took a significant step forward by joining the Charlois Group in September 2023.

Kelvin now supplies new and used barrels to leading premium distilleries throughout the world.
