Du Nord Social Spirits is a distillery in the heart of the Twin Cities, producing award-winning artisan vodka, gin, liqueurs, and whiskey. Operations Manager /Business Manager
Overall this position will increase the efficiency, quality and productivity of this exciting and fast-growing company. Will have an entrepreneurial spirit and collaboration mindset. An ideal candidate will be comfortable working autonomously, in dynamic and ambiguous situations. Some duties of the operations manager will include:

Administrative, Financial, Compliance
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, coordinating with accounting contractor and CEO on cash flow management. Oversee basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks On-Line. Develop and communicate standard procedures for expense reporting.
Regulatory and compliance for the production facility, including primary correspondence with the Tax and Trade Bureau, as well as creation and documentation of SOPs for compliance.
Office administration, including reviewing, updating, executing, contracts, leases, licensing. Fielding website requests. Working with architects and contractors on appropriate remodels and maintenance. Assist with equipment acquisition.

Human Resources
Oversee onboarding, training, and administering employee benefits in compliance with all federal, state and municipal laws. Manage employee requests and concerns. Maintain employee records.
Manage regular and ad-hoc communications with unionized staff.
Maintain employee handbook with up-to-date policies, processes, and information.

Logistics
Execute and manage inbound and outbound shipments of supplies and product to different distributors and manage all pertinent records. Assist with shipping quotes, costs, and tracking and delivery time. Recruit and manage different carriers. Work closely with Production Lead and Sales to manage flow and timing of shipments.

Project Management / Planning
Work closely with the CEO to develop an overarching understanding of company growth. Support development of systems, strategies, budgets, and projects to grow the company in an intelligent, efficient, profitable manner.
Ensure flow of material to manage production levels are consistent, source new vendors and approve purchase orders.
Assist with special projects and new product development; research feasibility, regulations, and budgets.
