Production Assistant - Boot Hill Distillery

Title: Production Assistant

Position Status: Full- Time

Compensation: Negotiable $18 - $23 per hour

Company Overview:

Boot Hill Distillery is a farmer-owned distillery in Dodge City Kansas that produces Bourbon, Wheat Whiskey, Vodka, Gin, Red Eye Whiskey, White Whiskey, Prickly Ash Bitters, as well as canned and bottled RTD beverages. We pride ourselves in the fact that we only distill from the grain we grow and in this sense are able to provide an extra level of quality products.

Job Summary:

Production assistants work with the Head Distiller to mill, mash, ferment, distill, process and package beverages.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Head Distiller and follow direction and standard procedures.
  • Perform cleaning of equipment and facility
  • Maintain an orderly work area
  • Perform basic maintenance on equipment
  • Conduct work in a safe, efficient manner
  • Learn history of the city, building, ownership, and processes and be willing to share this with guests of the distillery, be a good steward of the brand.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Be accountable and reliable
  • Be a problem solver
  • Communicate properly with others
  • Must be able to work on your feet for the entire shift
  • Use of hands and arms for repetitive motions
  • Safely lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Self motivated and able to complete tasks without supervision


Education / Experience

  • High school education or GED required.
  • Strong Problem solving skills
  • Willing to train the right candidate.
