We wanted to introduce ourselves, and Marketing seemed to be the best place to do it since that’s where we operate most with our craft distilling partners!

We are Crafted Pour, a cocktail-focused community and resource for bartenders, craft producers, and home enthusiasts. We started up during the height of the pandemic in order to give professional mixologists a place to publish cocktails and even receive tips for their efforts. The idea has always been to reach out to beverage industry professionals as well as craft cocktail enthusiasts, build a platform that’s useful to them and others, and be able to offer rewards, tips, and bonuses as we go. We’ve even developed a program connecting our mixologist community with craft spirit producers. We’re excited about the response we’ve gotten from bartenders and craft distillers, and we’re looking forward to an app launch soon.

We’re here at ACSA to interact with the community and to see what you think of what we’re building. We want to be a resource for the whole craft spirit and cocktail industry, so please check out the site, let us know your feedback, and maybe even start a profile and start posting cocktails!

Also, we’ll be at the conference in New Orleans in July – feel free to reach out if you’re interested in chatting while we’re there!

I shared this over on the blog for High-Proof Creative:

Marketing entails way more than just than social media, and it may be one reason you do not have a full-scale marketing plan yet. Clients often tell me it comes down to lack of time or knowledge of what to include in the yearly plan. SO what do you include? Marketing plans are much like crafting a cocktail — if you leave one ingredient out — it can throw off the entire drink. If you use only one ingredient (like social media in this case), it’s not really a cocktail, now is it?

At High-Proof Creative we include over 10 categories in our marketing plans. Our marketing plans for distilleries, and craft beverage brands are delivered with a table of contents they’re so detailed! But if you’re set on tackling your own marketing plan, here are the top 5 things you won’t want to leave out.

I just joined ACSA, so I wanted to introduce myself. I’ve been writing about distilling, and working in marketing since 2011. I launched a marketing agency for the distilling industry in August. We are currently serving clients throughout the U.S.

August 9, 2018 – Portland, Ore. – High-Proof Creative, a full-service, niche marketing agency for the craft beverage industry announces its launch today. The Portland-based agency will provide services for companies nationwide in a variety of areas including website development, design, marketing strategy, social media, content, SEO, and more.

High-Proof Creative is founded by Karen Locke, and includes a team of marketing professionals with backgrounds in design, website development, and digital marketing. In addition to these services, High-Proof Creative aims to provide digital solutions for the distilling industry with products such as Small-Batch Maps.

With both ongoing and consulting services available, High-Proof Creative strives to have a positive impact through its work. “I’m beyond excited to utilize my background in drink writing, and my experience at marketing agencies to provide tech-driven solutions for the distilling industry,” says founder Karen Locke.
