I am trying to find the best source for BUNA or EPDM DIN gaskets. Specifically the larger 5.5 OD gaskets for a Kothe 1500L still sight glass. I will most likely end up going through Kothe US, but any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Jonathan,
There is really no harm in sampling as frequently as you like, besides lower yields at the end. My experience with rum in used 15 gallon barrels is that they were ideal between 6-9 months in Hawaii’s climate but most were being pulled to finish age in another barrel anyway. 3 months in would be perfectly fine to start sampling but…[Read more] -

Does anyone have a poly tank company they like for cold water. Not anything special just to use as a cold liquor tank. Ideally if they have different foot print options for different sizes as well.

Hello,
I have just begun barreling rum in used 15 gallon rye whiskey barrels. I have been advised to wait 3 months prior to sampling. This I intend to do. What i started with is Blackstrap Molasses mash and barreled it at 105 proof. So…. What are your experiences with this barrel size and time? -
