Mash Operator/Production Assistant
St. Augustine Distillery is Florida’s most popular and entertaining distillery tour. Rated by TripAdvisor as the city’s #1 attraction, the distillery is located in the award-winning, historic Ice Plant complex. Our mission is simple: To make world class spirits using Florida agriculture and educate our guests how we make them from farm to bottle. Equally important is our commitment to sustainability and giving back to our community. We proudly sponsor The St. Augustine Amphitheater, Lincolnville Cultural Center and in 2020, we will build our 3rd Habitat for Humanity home for a deserving family. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Thoroughly clean and maintain the equipment in the production area
- Maintain production records
- Milling grains, mashing, fermenting, and distilling
Requirements:
- Must have a highschool diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 or older
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license and any other endorsements necessary to legally operate vehicles
- Must be flexible and willing to wear many hats
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be detail and team oriented with the ability to work independently
- Able to understand and comply with safety requirements and procedures
- Forklift/electric pallet jack certification encouraged, but not required
- Distillery experience a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to frequently reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and crouch on concrete ● Able to lift and move at least 55 lbs
- Able to repeatedly climb up and down a ladder
- Capable of working in physically demanding conditions, particularly heat
Hours:
- Full time
- Open availability
- Weekends required
- 2:00 PM -10:00 PM
Compensation:
- $14.00/Hour
- Medical benefits available after 90 days of employment
