Position Overview
This Processor/Distillation Technician position will concentrate on our fermentation and cellar/processing work areas with some work in distillation. Specific job functions include:
- Mashing and milling operations
- Fermentations, yeast management, fermentation monitoring
- Cellar operations - filtrations, barrel dumps/fills,
- Some basic quality/analytical functions
- CIP - food/beverage operations sanitation processes
- Operate distillation equipment including pot still and/or hybrid column skill
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous processing experience in wine/beer/spirits industries.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience including basic quality/analytical skills (Gas Chromatograph, proofing, solids, pH, color, turbidity),
- Ability to operate Industrial equipment as required including pumps, sanitary fittings and beverage processing equipment
- Excellent documentation/record keeping skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Basic mechanical skills with ability to confidentily operate basic hand tools.
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Good physical health. For example; capable of working on your feet, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, and squatting
Preferred
- Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
