On Sept. 26, ACSA sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent urging the Department of the Treasury to designate the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau’s (TTB) label and formula approval services as essential in the event of a government shutdown. ACSA emphasized that delays in approvals would be particularly harmful to small producers heading into the holiday season, when many depend on new product releases for a significant portion of their annual sales.
