Who?:

Peter Whalen is the president of Whalen Insurance located in Northampton, Massachusetts. Peter is an independent agent representing several insurance companies and he has insured craft beverage producers since the 1980’s. Recognizing that craft distillers sometimes struggle to have access to adequate and affordable property and liability insurance policies, he has decided to primarily focus on working with this industry to help remedy this issue. Peter holds a degree in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.

Shane Crockett is a Senior Underwriting Director with Markel Specialty Commercial. His passion is developing his teams to be experts in their industry specialties with a curiosity to learn what makes each individual insurance risk unique. Prior to a career in property and casualty underwriting, Shane served in the U.S. Navy on a submarine and qualified as a Nuclear Engineering Officer. He graduated with distinction from the US Naval Academy with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Shane currently lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife and four daughters.
